Author of Supercoach: The Life and Times of Jack Gibson

Andrew Webster is a senior sports writer and columnist for Sydney’s Daily Telegraph.

He writes issue-based stories on a number of sports as well as investigative feature articles, profiles and a Saturday gossip column. He has covered rugby league, AFL, the Australian Open Tennis and the Tour de France among many assignments. He has also worked for The Sydney Morning Herald, was Deputy Editor of Inside Sport magazine and been a sports reporter and freelance journalist.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts—Communication Studies (Journalism) from both the University of Newcastle and the University of Canberra. His first book State of Origin: 25 Years of Sport’s Greatest Rivalry was co-authored with Norm Tasker, Mike Colman and John Macdonald. His latest book, Supercoach: The Life and Times of Jack Gibson is a definitive account of the full life of the ‘Coach of the Century’ written with the full cooperation of his family and friends.
